Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Pawlooki. The two sections that matter most are the health disclaimer and the limits on our liability — they are not buried.

In effect from .

The short version. Pawlooki keeps a record of your dog’s life. That record is yours, you can export or delete it whenever you want, and we do not sell it. Pawlooki is not a vet and nothing in it is medical advice — if you are worried about your dog, phone a vet. This summary is not the agreement; the sections below are.

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and Troy Windeth, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom trading as Pawlooki (“Pawlooki”, “we”, “us”), of:

17 Porlock LaneMilton KeynesBuckinghamshireMK4 1JUUnited Kingdom

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and explains what we do with your information.

2. Who can use Pawlooki

You must be at least 16 to hold an account. If you take a paid plan, the payment method must belong to someone aged 18 or over.

3. Your account

  • Give us an email address you actually control — it is how you recover access.
  • Keep your password to yourself. If you want someone else to help care for your dog, invite them properly rather than sharing your login; that way you can see what they did and withdraw their access later.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else is in your account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, except where it happens because of something we did wrong.

4. Households and shared access

A dog belongs to a household, and a household can have several people in it — a partner, a walker, a sitter. When you invite someone you choose what they can do and, if you like, for how long.

  • The owner is in charge. Whoever owns the household can change or withdraw anyone’s access at any time.
  • Everything is attributed. Entries record who made them, and permission changes, transfers, deletions and exports are logged. Shared access is only trustworthy if it is accountable.
  • Entries survive departures. If a member leaves or is removed, what they logged stays on the dog’s timeline. A shared record that develops holes is not a record.
  • Dogs can be transferred. If a dog moves to a new home, ownership of its record can move with it. This is deliberate and irreversible from your side once accepted.

Only invite people you trust with information about your household, and remember that what you write in a note may be read by everyone with access to that dog.

5. Your content stays yours

You own everything you put into Pawlooki. You give us permission to store, process and display it strictly so that we can run the service for you and the people you have shared with — nothing more. We do not use your content to advertise, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

You can export everything at any time, and you can delete your account at any time. We are not going to hold your dog’s history hostage.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Break the law, or upload anything unlawful.
  • Upload content you have no right to, or that is abusive or harassing.
  • Try to reach another household’s data, or probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first. If you find something, tell us — we will be grateful.
  • Scrape the service, resell it, or run it as your own product.
  • Interfere with the service’s operation, including by circumventing rate limits or quotas.

We may suspend an account that is doing these things. Where it is proportionate to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

7. Not a veterinary service

Pawlooki does not provide veterinary or medical advice, and is not a substitute for a veterinary professional.

Nothing in the app — no insight, no chart, no trend, no AI answer — is a diagnosis or a clinical recommendation. Pawlooki does not tell you what is wrong with your dog, does not express medical certainty, and does not suggest medication or dosing.

If you are concerned about your dog’s health, contact a vet. In an emergency, contact an emergency vet immediately. Do not delay because something in Pawlooki looked reassuring.

Pawlooki may show that something has changed — that weight is trending, that less sleep has been logged this week than last. That is an observation about what you recorded, not a finding about your dog. What it means is a question for a vet who can examine the animal.

Equally, Pawlooki not flagging something means nothing at all. Insights are drawn only from what has been logged, and an absence of records is not evidence of health.

8. What Kibi is and is not

Paid plans include Kibi, an AI assistant that answers questions using your dog’s records. It is a convenience for reading your own history, not an expert.

  • It can be wrong. AI systems produce confident text regardless of whether it is correct. Check anything that matters.
  • It can only read. It cannot change, add to or delete your records.
  • It only knows what you logged. It has no way of knowing about anything you did not write down.
  • Section 7 applies to it in full. It is not a vet either.

9. Plans, payment and cancellation

Free and paid

Pawlooki has a free plan and a paid plan. The free plan is a real product, not a trial: logging your dog’s life, keeping the full history and reading it back are free and stay free.

We will never lock you out of your own records. If you cancel a paid plan or a payment fails, features that generate new things — AI answers, advanced analysis — stop. Everything you have already recorded stays readable, exportable and yours. Paying is for what Pawlooki produces, never for permission to see your own history.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, at the price shown when you subscribed. We will tell you by email before any price change takes effect, in time for you to cancel.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep the paid features until then.

Your right to change your mind

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital services and get a refund. If you ask us to start the service immediately — which is what happens when you subscribe and the features switch on — you may lose that right once the service has been fully provided, and we will make that clear at the point of purchase.

Beyond that, if a paid feature genuinely did not work, tell us and we will sort it out. We would rather refund someone than argue with them. These terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Pawlooki available and to keep your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We will need to take it down occasionally for maintenance, and sometimes things break unexpectedly.

We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, or change these terms in a way that materially disadvantages you, we will email you first. If a change is unacceptable to you, you can cancel and, where you have paid for time you will not now get, we will refund the unused part.

11. Ending the agreement

You can close your account whenever you like, from within the app. Your data is recoverable for 30 days and then permanently anonymised.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. Except where the law prevents it or the breach makes it inappropriate, we will warn you, explain why, and give you the chance to export your data first.

If we ever discontinue Pawlooki entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export everything.

12. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for anything else that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.

Subject to that, and because this needs saying plainly: we are not responsible for decisions you make about your dog’s health. Pawlooki records information and shows you patterns in it. Judging what that means, and when to involve a vet, is yours and your vet’s.

Where we are liable and the law allows a limit, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose, or £100. Pawlooki is supplied for personal use; we are not liable for business losses.

Please keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable. The export exists for exactly this reason, and we would rather you used it than trusted us completely.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts. Nothing here removes protections you have under the law of the country where you live.
